Vernon Mortensen, Neil Trusso, and Kelly Parks will share their creative process and experience in working on their most talked about web series, The Universal Dead. They will discuss their journey in being the first web series ever make the leap from the internet into being a major motion picture. Vernon, Neil, and Kelly will address what they feel are the essential elements to creative success in the business.
About Unconventional Films
UNCONVENTIONAL FILMS is a full service production company specializing in genre movies, TV and new media films. Unconventional Films has created numerous films and has worked with the likes of Academy Award, Golden Globe and Emmy winners and movie stars like John Malkovich, Benicio Del Toro, Dennis Hopper, Johnny Depp, Roy Scheider, Martin Sheen, Peter Faulk, Michael Madsen, Jason Patric, DB Sweeney and Eric Roberts. Their movies have been featured in all major film festivals and markets around the world including Sundance, Toronto, Berlin, and Cannes and have been watched by millions of people around the globe. Their boxing movie The Kid: Chamaco starring Martin Sheen and Michael Madsen hit the theaters across the USA in July and August of 2010 and was directed by celebrated Mexican filmmaker Miguel Necoechea and written by Kirk Harris, Carl Bessai and Miguel Necoechea.
The web series Universal Dead starring DB Sweeney, Doug Jones, Gary Graham, Valerie Perez and Michael Broderick is going to be a 3D movie produced by Paramount Studios lot producers, Fishman Productions. UD3D will be the first web series ever to make the leap from the internet into being a major motion picture.
Unconventional Films also has a western in pre-production The Sorrow which takes place during the Gold Rush and will begin principle photography in the Fall of 2010 in both Oregon and San Diego.
