Join the San Diego Filmmakers on February 14 for an evening with veteran director Michael Brueggemeyer and Hollywood makeup artist Katie Betian who will share their insights into the process of creating a look using makeup and lighting. At this event, you will learn how to create a variety of looks with just a few brush strokes and simple lighting shifts, from your basic corporate video to exotic and dramatic themes.

About the Speakers

Michael Brueggemeyer has been behind a camera his entire career, first as a motion picture camera assistant and then as a Director of Photography. He has presented seminars on lighting and camera work, teaching filmmakers and corporate video producers how to make their work stand out. Brueggemeyer has photographed features, TV series, corporate videos, short films, and commercials. You can visit his website at

Katie Betian has been working as a Hollywood makeup artist for the past seven years in television, film, web series, editorial, weddings, commercials, and theatre. She is also a licensed esthetician.
