Hear an Oscar and Emmy award winning editor discuss his insights on character development, making those critical, yet difficult editing choices as well as a number of pertinent topics affecting filmmakers representing many crafts. His presentation is still in the developmental stage but he has promised us a very entertaining evening, so stay tuned for more developments as we draw closer to the event. About Alan Heim
Alan Heim is a Primetime Emmy & Academy Award-winning American film editor. Mr. Heim also serves as President of A.C.E. (American Cinema Editors) organization and concurrently serves as President of the Motion Picture Editors Guild (MPEG), and the IATSE union that represents film editors, sound mixers and post-production craftspeople. With a long and distinguished career in the film business, Mr. Heim has more than thirty feature-film credits to his name. His extended collaboration with director Bob Fosse resulted in his being honored by the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for All That Jazz as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Editing and the American Cinema Editors Eddie Award. In addition, he was nominated for a second Oscar for Network.
