Original event synopsis

This month we showcase some of the people and award winning work from this year's San Diego 48 Hour Film Project. Learn from their career and production experience.

From Sully to The Call, Shane Allen talks about First Class Acting. With 13 years of study, mostly at The Playhouse West in Hollywood, Actor/Writer/Director/Producer Shane P. Allen brings his best to every character and has fine tuned his techniques for creating depth, texture and emotional realism. That devotion to his craft brought him most recently a featured player roll in Clint Eastwood's hit film Sully starring Tom Hanks. Shane will share with us his experience on the Hudson River, along with 48HFP The Call and various other projects.

Rebecca and Kevin Joelson, The Joelsons, produced The Call which won three awards - Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design and Best Editing in this year's 48 Hour Film Project in San Diego. They will explain their process for competing in the event and share a never before seen director's cut of their winning film The Call.

Film Consortium's Fletcher and Jenks was nominated for Best Picture, Best Writer and Best Actor. Producer Jodi Cilley will present their journey through the 48 hours to create short film Fletcher and Jenks.
